Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and NikkahNest Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17494583), whose registered office is at 28b Mildmay Road, London, N1 4NG, United Kingdom ("we", "us") for your use of the NikkahNest app. By creating an account, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can use NikkahNest

To use NikkahNest you must:

• be at least 18 years old;
• be looking for marriage, and be free to marry;
• not have been removed from NikkahNest before;
• not be prohibited by law from using the app.

2. Your account

• Everything on your profile must be true and up to date, including your photos, age and marital status.
• You may only have one account, and it's for you alone. Don't share your sign-in details.
• You're responsible for what happens on your account.

3. How members must behave

NikkahNest is a space for respectful, marriage-minded conversations. You must not:

• harass, threaten, insult or pressure anyone;
• send sexual, explicit or indecent messages, photos or voice notes;
• use the app for casual dating, or for anything other than seeking marriage;
• pretend to be someone else, or use photos that aren't of you;
• ask anyone for money, gifts, bank details or investments, or promote any business;
• share another member's personal information or messages without their permission;
• post content that is hateful, discriminatory or illegal;
• use bots, scrapers or other tools to access the app, or try to get around its features or limits.

Sakina and live streams

• Posts, comments, stories and lives must be respectful and suitable for a Muslim community.
• Only verified members can go live. Before going live, you must confirm that your awrah is covered and you are dressed modestly, and this must stay true for the whole live.
• Don't show anyone on camera who hasn't agreed to it.
• Lives that several members report may end automatically while our team reviews them.

4. Your safety

• Involve your wali, family or a trusted person early on.
• Meet in public places, and tell someone where you'll be. You can use Share My Meetup in the app.
• Never send money to someone you've met in the app.
• Report anyone who makes you feel unsafe. In an emergency, call your local emergency number (999 in the UK).

5. Your content

You own the photos, text and voice notes you add to NikkahNest. You give us permission to store, display and share them within the app as needed to provide the service, for example showing your profile to other members. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared with other members in chats, or kept for safety as explained in our Privacy Policy.

6. NikkahNest Gold

• Gold is an optional paid subscription that adds extra features, as listed in the app. It's available monthly or yearly, at the prices shown in the app before you buy.
• Payment is taken by Apple through your Apple ID when you confirm your purchase.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel Gold at any time in your iPhone's Settings under your name, then Subscriptions. If you cancel, Gold continues until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Deleting your NikkahNest account does not cancel your subscription. Please cancel it with Apple first.
• We may change Gold features or prices. Price changes won't affect a period you've already paid for, and Apple will tell you before any price increase applies.

7. Reports, suspension and removal

We review reports and may remove content, end a live stream, give a warning, limit features, or suspend (for a set time) or remove accounts that break these terms or put others at risk. Where it's safe and appropriate, we'll tell you why. If your account is removed for breaking these terms, you won't be entitled to a refund of any Gold subscription, apart from any refund Apple gives under its own policies.

You can stop using NikkahNest and delete your account at any time in the app.

8. What we can and can't promise

• We work hard to keep NikkahNest available, safe and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors.
• We can't promise that you'll find a match or a spouse.
• We aren't responsible for how other members behave, on or off the app. Compatibility scores and suggestions are a guide only.
• Religious content in the app, such as du'as, prayer times and Qur'an, is provided for convenience. Please check prayer times locally, and consult a qualified scholar on religious matters.

9. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer under UK law, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, we're not liable for losses that weren't foreseeable, or for losses caused by other members.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll show the date of the latest version at the top of this page, and tell you in the app about any important changes. If you keep using NikkahNest after changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts there.
